I happened to have some fibres in red, white and blue - which brought to mind the Union Jack. This semi-abstract textile (fiber) art piece was in my mind because the British flag has, at last, become acceptable ... even fashionable. It also has a political dimension, in that the piece shows the flag almost unravelling - as the 'United' Kingdom could seem to be. Thus, its original working title - 'Jack Falling Apart'.
Note that this is part of my Conceptual Fibre Art collection, but is framed like a Floating Felt
