Welcome to admirers of the work of textile artist Michael Brennand-Wood (often misspelt 'Brennan-Wood')!

This is www.1-art-1.com, the website of leading UK fibre artist, Mary-Clare Buckle. I worked with textile artist Michael Brennand-Wood (or Brennan-Wood!), as part of the 'Chinese Whispers' project, producing a number of fibre art pieces on a 'water' theme.

I have included on this page a number of representative images of Michael's work, as a useful resource for anyone studying or researching his work. These are the best images I could find on the web and, in the absence of a site devoted entirely to Michael's work, I hope that you will find these images useful. There are some links to other Michael Brennand-Wood resources at the bottom of this page.

You might also be interested in exploring my own work in textile (fiber) art on www.1-art-1.com. For me, the medium of fibre art completely sweeps away the 2-dimensional limitations of painting, replacing it with the texture, colour and vibrancy which can only be achieved with fibres - particularly since my pictures 'interact' with light falling on and through them.
